THE KAABA TEMPLE (LATER MOSQUE)
The Kaaba in Mecca is nearly a cube: Some 12 m long, 10 m wide, and 13 m high, and with 1 m thick walls made from stone. (It thus consists of some 520 m3 stone + a roof made from wood, supported by 3 columns inside.)
The Quran and Islam claim that this "cube" in Mecca, was built by Abraham and his son Ismael. But if Abraham was a real person, he lived some 2ooo-1800 BC.
But MUSLIM archeology tells that there was no way of making a permanent living in the desert, stony Mecca Valley until after the Assyrinans started caravan trade with Yemen, and that the oldest traces from permanent settlements in Mecca are from ca. 700 BC = 1100 years after Abraham. Also: Abraham wa a nomad. Hardly any nomad has the knowhow of building that big buildings from stone. Further: To build that big a building from stone at the time of Abraham, would take years. Abraham's big flocks of animals would starve LONG before the building was finished - the Mecca Valley is a dry, stony desert, except for the spring in Mecca.
Muslim archeology further tells that the oldest parts of the Kabah are from ca. 300 AD - some 2100 years after Abraham. They also found that the original Kaaba was built by a Yemenite king named Asad abu Karb (sometimes written Karb abu Asad), who at that time was the ruler in that part of Arabia.
One more lie in the Quran and in Islam - also this a central one to Islam and Muslims.
